Northumberland Funding Event
Community & Voluntary Action Blyth Valley, Community Action Northumberland and Wansbeck Centre for Voluntary Service held their first ever joint county-wide funding event on 30 March 2011 at Choppington Social Welfare Centre.
The day was a huge success - thanks to all those groups who attended. Approximately 200 people attended the event visiting 21 Funders in their 15-minute one-to-one appointments. A ‘market place’ stand occupied another hall and workshop presentations from the Big Lottery and Community Foundation were delivered in the large meeting room.
During the lunch break groups were able to network with funders, other groups, market place organisations and the organisers.

Quiz Night
Previous Quizzes
Our annual Christmas quiz night is a very popular event which is held in December to get our voluntary and community groups together in an informal way. Our quizzes are very popular and our VCS groups enjoy a very enjoyable fun-filled evening.
Our quiz in 2010 was held on Tuesday 7 December 2010 at The Comrades Club, Wright Street, Blyth.
Even though the weather was cold and the streets were covered in snow and ice we still had around 70 people turn out for the Quiz Night, so thank you very much to all those who attended.
8 rounds of quizzes were undertaken as well as our Celebrity Santa picture round.
The teams enjoyed a very fun-filled and enjoyable evening including a free buffet. Thank you to all those who turned up to make this a very successful and enjoyable event, better luck next year. From the 13 teams taking part the winning team, for the 4th year running, was the team from the Community Enterprise Centre, although other teams were very close.
